Pass or single tickets?

For Gothenburg, the question is whether the Go City Gothenburg Pass pays off or whether single tickets work out cheaper. It comes down to how many paid attractions you visit per day, public transport is paid separately either way.

What the pass covers

The pass (successor to the discontinued Göteborg City Card) bundles free admission to around 20 attractions such as Universeum, Maritiman and the Museum of Art, plus a Paddan boat tour. Not included are Västtrafik public transport (tram, bus, archipelago ferries) and Liseberg. Details in our guide Is the Gothenburg Pass worth it?.

When each option pays off

If you visit several paid attractions every day, the pass shows its value. If instead you're mainly planning free parks, Haga, viewpoints and a day at Liseberg (not included!), single tickets are almost always cheaper. For tram and archipelago ferry trips, add the Västtrafik ticket on top - single fare 38 SEK, day ticket 125 SEK (zone A). The table above helps you run the numbers.

Frequently asked questions

When is the Go City Gothenburg Pass worth it?+
If you're visiting several paid attractions per day. Universeum plus Maritiman plus a Paddan boat tour alone can reach the day price. If you mainly enjoy the free parks and Haga, single tickets work out cheaper, and either way, public transport is paid separately via Västtrafik.
Is Liseberg included in the Go City Pass?+
No. The amusement park is neither included nor discounted in the current pass. Always budget Liseberg separately, entry from 95 SEK, or from 365 SEK with an unlimited-rides pass.
Are the archipelago ferries included in the pass?+
No. Unlike the discontinued Göteborg City Card, the Go City Pass doesn't include public transport, so archipelago ferries aren't covered either. Lines 281 to 284 run on any regular Västtrafik zone A ticket, single fare 38 SEK, day ticket 125 SEK.
Where can I find current prices?+
Pass prices are dynamic and only quoted in SEK. The price shown on the day in Go City's booking system is the one that applies; for public transport, check the Västtrafik journey planner.
